How many states in India with population of India

This blog will explain the list of states with population in India



#India is one of the country located in Asia and it has 132.42 crores population as per 2016 census. As you know that the flag is necessity for all country and India also has own flag with many identity in the flag, Which is shown by the 3 colors with ashoka chakra. We call this colours as Tricolor.

1.Deep saffron (Top) : This color indicates courage and selflessness of the nation. It means goodness of the nation without seeking any personal benefits.

2.White Colour : As you can see in the flag, White colour is in middle of the flag and it indicates honesty, purity and peace of the nation.

3.Green Colour : Lower part of the flag can see Green colour and it indicates faith, fertility and prosperity of the nation.

Finally we can identify one chakra over the flag is called "Ashoka Chakra" and it has 24 Spokes. According to the Hindu religion (India is one of the biggest Hindu religion country), Ashok Chakra will be consider as Dharma Chakra also known as Samay Chakra. This Dharma chakra has 24 spokes which represent 24 precious hours of the day and it also refer as 24 Dharma Rishis of the Hindu religion Who had whole power of the Gayatri Mantra.

India has totally 29 States and 7 Union Territories.Every individual states has its own government with a Governor system and and each one of Union Territory is administered directly by the President through an administrator. Below is the list of states and Union Territories in India.

1. Andhra Pradesh : Andhra Pradesh capital is Hyderabad and As per 2011 census Andhra Pradesh population was 4.97 crores.

2. Arunachal Pradesh : Arunachal Pradesh capital is Itangar, As per 2012 census Arunachal Pradesh population was 12.6 lakhs.

3. Assam : Assam capital is Dispur, As per 2012 census Assam population was 3.09 crores.

4. Bihar : Bihar capital is Patna, As per 2012 census Bihar population was 9.9 crores.

5. Chhattisgarh : Chhattisgarh capital is Raipur, As per 2013 census Chhattisgarh population was 2.55 crores.

6. Goa : Goa capital is Panaji, As per 2017 census Goa population was 18.2 lakhs.

7. Gujarat : Gujarat capital is Gandhinagar, As per 2013 census Gujarat population was 6.27 crores.

8. Haryana : Haryana capital is Chandigarh, As per 2011 census Haryana population was 2.54 crores.

9. Himachal Pradesh : Himachal Pradesh capital is Shimla, As per 2012 census Himachal Pradesh population was 68.6 lakhs.

10. Jammu and Kashmir : Jammu and Kashmir capital is Srinagar and Jammu, As per 2011 census Jammu and Kashmir population was 1.25 crores.

11. Jharkhand : Jharkhand capital is Ranchi, As per 2012 census Jharkhand population was 3.19 crores.

12. Karnataka : Karnataka capital is Bangalore, As per 2014 census Karnataka population was 6.41 crores.

13. Kerala : Kerala capital is Thiruvananthapuram, As per 2012 census Kerala population was 3.48 crores.

16. Manipur : Manipur capital is Imphal, As per 2011 census Manipur population was 27.2 lakhs.

17. Meghalaya : Meghalaya capital is Shillong, As per 2016 census Meghalaya population was 32.1 lakhs.

1. Andaman and Nicobar Islands : Capital is Port Blair, As per 2012 census Andaman and Nicobar Islands population was 3.81 lakhs.

2. Chandigarh : Capital is Chandigarh, As per 2011 census Chandigarh population was 10.6 lakhs.

3. Delhi : Capital is Delhi, As per 2012 census Delhi population was 1.9 crores.

4. Dadra and Nagar Haveli : Capital is Silvassa, As per 2011 census Dadra and Nagar Haveli population was 3.43 lakhs.

5. Daman and Diu : Capital is Daman, As per 2011 census Daman and Diu population was 2.43 lakhs.

6. Lakshadweep : Capital is Kavaratti. As per 2011 census Lakshadweep population was 64,429.

7. Puducherry  : As per 2011 census Puducherry population was 2.42 lakhs.
